THE FOUNDRY'S BRICK + MORTAR SHOP WILL BE CLOSED beginning Saturday, until further notice. We've been thinking a lot about wellness and prudence lately. In these wild times, we know this: We love you all and this beautiful world so deeply, it feels like an important responsibility to be proactive in advocating for the continued health of our immediate Foundry Community and the wider impact of the Coronavirus. This is why we have decided to close our physical storefront until further notice.
During the closure you can still find all of our products (and an oxytocin-inducing number of Ruby photos) at right here on our web shop. We'll have staff available daily via email, we'd happily chat on the phone or heck, let's do a facetime tour of the shop if you want virtually beam into our world!
Our staff is working primarily from their homes. Photos of our dog co-pilots in our home offices coming soon, promise! The Foundry employs a mostly hourly staff and it is a top priority to keep them employed and supported at all times. Additionally we will continue ordering from our vendors + artists who, even at a distance, are a part of our close shop family. New things are en-route to the shop now and we plan on keeping it that way! We are taking precautions so that when our staff is in the building to unpack or ship orders, they work independently to ensure physical distance. We are taking thorough precautions in cleaning all surfaces and work spaces along with tools and materials used during the shipping process. We will always choose the err on the safer side.
During this time, we also encourage you to consider how you might support other local businesses, service providers or artists + freelancers who have cancellations. Can you buy a giftcard for a future massage? Order beans from your favorite coffee shop? Send your stylist a tip towards a future haircut? Put a deposit on a family photo session for next Fall? We'd love to hear your ideas for supporting small and independent businesses along with suggestions for charitable organizations supporting the COVID-19 pandemic that we can support at The Foundry.
Writing these words feels surreal. These weeks feels surreal. We cannot possibly express our gratitude for your support during these times with mere words. We feel your support with our whole hearts. With love, The Foundry Family
Love this. Love that you are taking the safety of our community seriously. Thank you.
