We are no strangers to ritual attunements. We believe in the daily grounding magic found all around us in the humblest of things...from the way our bodies themselves feel fruitful after spending time working the earth in our gardens to the pure satisfaction of a clean kitchen after a beautiful meal. The call to connect ourselves to the world around us is deeply human.
The Foundry universe contains multitudes. Some of us are "Artists" with a capital A. Some of us love to pick up a brush and play with color and texture when the mood (or the need to send out a few color-washed "thank you" postcards) strikes. Some of us stand, awe-struck and filled with deep longing, in the intensely pleasing infinite-rainbow-stocked aisles of our local art supply store wondering "but, really, what IS gesso??" before walking quietly back to the fancy journaling pens with a sigh.
Sometimes it's all we can do to breathe. But, life (and work and choices and seasons and bummers and triumphs) goes on. SCHOOL GOES ON.
We—like so many of you in our Foundry Family too—are lovers of books. Always and forever since our very first run-in with our beloved children's librarian (hi, Miss Altshuler), we've had our noses pressed into pages, sucked, vortex-style, head-over-heels, into rich worlds, both far-flung or cozily adjacent to our own. Books feed our souls, nourish our spirits, and whet our appetites—literally and figuratively.
