In the wake of George Floyd's Police Murder, The Foundry stood with our community to donate 100% of our profits from the weekend of May 29th - 31st to the ACLU. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase during those days. The profits from your orders totaled $6,456.67 which is by far the largest single charitable donation we have ever been able to contribute.
We encourage each and every one of you to reach out in your own communities and continue charitable giving and donations to those affected by this uprising. There is great need in our community. So many people have been un-housed, separated from their regular sources of food, household supplies, or reliable transit. Searching online for food donations in your area is a good start.
In the Twin Cities we recommend using the Mutual Aid Map to see an ever-evolving list of drop sites, volunteer opportunities and donation needs.
At this time The Foundry is not functioning as a formal donation site. However, our staff is coordinating donations and volunteer work on an individual basis. Have something you would like delivered but can't make the trip? Please get in touch with us via email and we'd be happy to bring it along with some of our donations. Reach out to us: [email protected]
We are also working with our vendors to coordinate donations of useful products. A shipment of soaps + detergents from our friends at Common Good just arrived this week and we'll be delivering to donation sites Thursday and Friday.
