This airy and lightweight waffle-knit bath towel has a bit of a cult following at The Foundry. Luckily, it's the friendly giving-a-labrador-a-quick-après-bath-toweling, let's-go-swimming-in-the-lake-at-midnight, super-excited-about-using-that-new-bar-of-soap-in-the-shower kind of cult (so, you know, the kind of cult you definitely want to join). Made in France from an airy light blend of super-absorbent, quick drying linen and super soft, cozy cotton, these luxuriously soft (giant!) towels are made using a classic waffle weave (also known as honeycomb fabric), a traditional stitch specifically designed to give the individual fibers enough room to absorb the maximum amount of liquid and enough air flow between warp and weft to allow the cloth dry quickly. The result? A luscious and tactile towel that kisses the skin, wicks away wetness, dries fast, folds up small, and looks gorgeous doing it.
Note: This bath towel size is big, on the larger end of what's considered standard when it comes to towels, making it almost more of a bath sheet. This is long enough to fully wrap around the waists of the burliest dudes (here's lookin' at you, Dad). They are so soft, large, and snuggly, in fact, we'd even consider using it as a throw blanket.
Take Care: These rough-and-tumble towels are suitable for machine washing (cold with mild detergent, please) and tumble drying, but because of the three-dimensional waffle texture we recommend keeping them separated from hook-and-eye closures and open zippers in the machines to avoid snags.
