Made in France since 1874, Peugeot pepper mills have a deceptively simple, ingenious grinding mechanism. During production, the helix-shaped grooves and grinding teeth are individually cut before the steel is case hardened, making it virtually indestructible-so much so that Peugeot's grinders carry a lifetime warranty on their grinding mechanisms. The two-stage groove system cracks peppercorns before grinding for maximum flavor, the simple nut unscrews the top for refilling, and the patented u'select base offers six precision grind settings from "steak a poivre" to "vichyssoise".
