The delicate-yet-hard-working skin on your face, neck, and decollete deserves (more than) a little TLC. We swear by this miraculously sensitive, gently exfoliating, hand-held face brush. Individually hand-crafted in Sweden from natural fibers and oil-treated oak, this brush is a tiny, lovely, everyday miracle. When used wet, alone or with your favorite oil or cleanser, the supple horsehair bristles are an ideal combination of soft and pliable-perfectly suited to everyday use. When a little extra horse(hair)power is needed, we like to use as a dry brush to more fully exfoliate and release toxins. The resulting super-deep glow? Glorious.
Take Care: With a bit of easy maintenance, this brush can last for years. Clean the bristles with plain water or the soap of your choosing, shake out excess water, and allow brush to dry with the bristles down. Occasionally oil the wood with your preferred wood conditioner (we swear by Old Mill's All Natural Beeswax and Mineral Oil Wood Polish, available right here at The Foundry), being sure to allow enough time for the wood to absorb the oil before its next use.
Take note: As with all good things, the right body brush is all about feel. What feels like an invigorating scrub to one person might feel like ten lashes with a wet noodle to another. Since a body brush is so personal, we do not accept returns on them, so if you have questions about which brush is right for you, get in touch before you buy! That being said, if your brush feels stiff to you out of the box, bristles will start to soften after a few sessions in hot water.
