Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods donates 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Appetite For Change!

Appetite For Change is a North Minneapolis based non-profit that uses food as a tool to build health, wealth, and social change. They bring people together to learn, cook, eat, and grow food, creating change that lasts. Food is sustenance, it is also the work of hands in soil, the knowledge of seeds and seasons, the labor of sourcing and selling, the education of bounty and business. Food is culture built, grown, and inherited. Food is livelihood, it is also life.

From the Urban Agriculture of their seven community farms to their Community Cooks classes and meal boxes, their youth training and connecting opportunities—from farm to kitchen, and even music studio (!), Northside Fresh community initiative, and network of Appetite-sourced-and-funding restaurants, cafes, and farmers markets, Appetite For Change works to empower the communities of North Minneapolis to build sustaining systems from the literal ground up, nourishing at the roots.
