Well-cared-for woodenware will last, literally, thousands of years (see: Mesopotamia, Indus Valley, Egyptian tools etc.). If your wooden spoon is looking a little tired after only one season in the rotation, it's time to show it some love. We swear by this all-natural food-safe wood polish. A quick rubdown (or an overnight slather depending on the level of TLC required) with this magic beeswax and mineral oil salve and spoons, cutting boards, much-loved-brushes, and servingware is as good as new. Heck, we've even used it to re-zuzz the soles of our Swedish clogs after a particularly rainy summer. What can't you use it on? In fact, one Foundry Mother accidentally mistook the jar for hand salve and said her paws have never been so silky. Can't say that about Pledge. Wax on, Wax off.

To use: rub into wood with a soft cloth and let soak into the grain for a few hours until absorbed, buffing off any extra. Repeat until desired level of luster is restored.

Made in small batches by hand by our beekeeper friend Kate using sustainably harvested beeswax from her family's fourth generation organic apiary. All natural, food safe, pet safe, babe safe, doesn't contain any nut products and the manufacturing facility is nut free. Go ahead and apply to wooden spoons with abandon.

A little goes a long way with this miracle salve. This 8 ounce jar will last a very, very long time. We apply liberally on anything wooden that isn't nailed down (and some stuff that is) and we've had a single jar last for years.
