9/30/2022 Foundry Giving Friday: Twin Cities Adaptive Cycling

Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Twin Cities Adaptive Cycling.

Twin Cities Adaptive Cycling is a Minneapolis-based non-profit that gets people of all abilities out and riding bikes! In their words:

Minneapolis ranks among the top cities for biking in the country! The city itself has 129 miles of on-street bikeways and 97 miles of off-street paths. Considering this impressive infrastructure and the numerous health benefits of cycling, we believe EVERYONE should have equal access to cycling.

Heck yeah! High costs, storage, and bike transport are common barriers to cycling among individuals living with a disability and Twin Cities Adaptive Cycling pops a wheelie through those barriers with their amazing community based adaptive bike share program. Their fleet of over 30 adaptive bicycles are available for anyone to use regularly at their location on the Midtown Greenway, they provide on-bike training and instruction for anyone new to adaptive cycling, and also have volunteer tandem riding support available for riders who are visually impaired or need additional riding support. It's so awesome! See more of their sweet wheels and good times in action here.

If you don't need anything from us, please consider directly supporting Twin Cities Adaptive Cycling here.

If you DO find yourself in need of anything from us, know that your purchase goes to support good change happening on the community level.

Thanks to Louisa for the nomination.

If YOU have a worthy cause to nominate for our Foundry Giving Friday initiative, pop on over to our Nomination Page and drop us a line. We're all in this together.
