Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods donates 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Juxtaposition Arts!

Juxtaposition Arts is an incredible North-Minneapolis-based youth arts and design nonprofit that has been illuminating creative paths forward for brilliant young people since 1995. Black-led and teen-staffed, they support and nourish both the mystical processes of creativity itself while helping build the skillsets necessary to find paths to solvency in creative fields.

The realization of self as "creator" and the ability to craft a self-sufficient livelihood out of that passion and talent is a tall order for any young artist, made all the more difficult by systemic barriers of racism and oppression (yes, we are sensing a theme). With an art and design education center, gallery, retail shop, community integrated programming and outreach, and artists' studio space, Juxtaposition Arts presents so many amazing and interconnected opportunities for young artists to realize and explore creativity and possibility. It's just so great. And, golly, the art is incredible. See more of the good stuff @jxta_arts.
