Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods donates 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Breaking Free!

Breaking Free is a St. Paul-based survivor-led non-profit dedicated to ending systems of prostitution and sex trafficking—starting on an individual level. Through victim-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate (age/gender-specific) support services that focus on empowerment, safety, and dignity, Breaking Free works on the direct violence experienced by survivors of sex trafficking. Through legal advocacy, safe housing, education and community outreach, Breaking Free works on the structural violence experienced by survivors of systems of prostitution. It boils down to this: You are not for sale. Sex trafficking and transactional sex exploitation can look like a lot of different things, and isn't a monolithic problem with a single solution. Treating the symptoms, addressing the causes, and working towards transformative change on personal and policy levels? Whew! It's a tall order and one we are here for. See more here @breakingfreemn
