Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Safe Hands Rescue.
Safe Hands Rescue is a Twin Cities-based non-profit working to save and improve the lives of companion animals by engaging communities and connecting people, resources and knowledge. In their words:
Our work focuses on rescuing and rehoming dogs from overcrowded, high intake, low adoption shelters where there is otherwise little hope. We also work to solve the homeless pet population problem where it starts.
Through their partnerships, foster programs, adoption facilitation, and their Safe House, Safe Hands Rescue works to provide companion animals with the best lives possible. In return, as we all know, those companions can give us all the best days of ours.
If you don't need anything from us, please consider directly supporting Safe Hands Rescue here. Or if you have time and inclination, considering fostering an animal in need—though fair warning, you just might end up keeping them... Julie, who nominated Safe Hands for this week's Giving Friday initiative says "We adopted Isaac, our 4.5 lb Yorkie from Safe Hands. I am a "foster fail!". It just might be the best thing that happens to you.
If you DO find yourself in need of anything from us, know that your purchase goes to support good change happening on the community level.
Thanks Julie (and Isaac!) for the nomination.
If YOU have a worthy cause to nominate for our Foundry Giving Friday initiative, pop on over to our Nomination Page and drop us a line. We're all in this together.
