Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness.

Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness is a Minnesota-based non-profit leading the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters. Inspired by the beauty, resilience, and priceless ecological and social values that wilderness provides and through the Save The Boundary Waters initiative, Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness takes action to defend our most exceptional wild places—especially the world-class Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW or Boundary Waters) of Northeastern Minnesota. Permanent protections for the Boundary Waters, America's most visited Wilderness and Minnesota's crown jewel, would save the area from devastating repercussions and lasting impact from proposed sulfide-ore copper mining. Copper mining in the Boundary Waters watershed will pollute the Wilderness for generations to come, causing irreversible harm to water quality, wildlife, public health, and a sustainable outdoor recreation-based economy. Wilderness lost is wilderness lost forever.
