Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Open Arms of Minnesota!
It’s a simple notion: people who are sick should not be without food. Yet every day people in our community with life-threatening illnesses find themselves unable to shop or cook—and, often, without the support network to help. Open Arms of Minnesota is a MPLS-based nonprofit that cooks and delivers free, nutritious meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses in the Twin Cities.
They believe that food is medicine, and with the help of over 7,500 volunteers, they cook and deliver more than 600,000 delicious meals a year to people living with life-threatening illnesses, as well as their caregivers and dependents.
From the work they do in their beautiful kitchen, door-to-door client deliveries, and the good stuff growing out at their organic farm project, Open Arms of Minnesota proves that Good Food Is Good Health.
If you don't need anything from us, please consider donating directly to Open Arms of Minnesota. If you do find yourself in need of something to celebrate your own abundant meals know that your purchase goes to support good change happening on the community level. And if you are looking to give the gift of time, they are always in need of volunteers.
Thanks to Val for the nomination.
