Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? The Humanity Alliance.

Founded in 2018 and inspired by a group of Minneapolis high school students, The Humanity Alliance is a Minnesota-based non-profit that provides improved access to nutrition to people who are food insecure.

Food insecurity is a serious problem with interconnected causes and effects (to say the least). The Humanity Alliance is working to connect some of the dots (rescuing food about to be discarded and turning it into high-quality and healthful meals delivered to families who lack access to good-tasting nutrition) to unravel the catastrophic health disparities connected with relentless hunger. Simple (in concept), effective (in execution), and filled with love and dignity (in reality).
