Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods donates 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Tubman!

Tubman is a Minneapolis-based non-profit that offers a full range of community services to people that need them. Each year they help ~25,000 people in Hennepin, Ramsey, and Washington counties and the surrounding area get the services, support, and information they need after experiencing trauma—including relationship violence, sexual assault and exploitation, trafficking, addiction, mental health issues and more. We serve people of all ages and genders and offer a broad continuum of services to help people find the support and information they need. If this seems impossibly comprehensive...it is.


Tubman started in the early 1970's, offering emotional support systems, chemical health services, and childcare to women with a focus on those experiencing domestic violence. In the years since, Tubman's healing capacity has expanded to include support services to address the causes and consequences of: Women experiencing intimate partner violence, Teens experience dating violence, online abuse and harassment, Seniors falling victim to physical abuse or financial extortion, those experiencing homelessness, victims of sex trafficking, those who have experienced or are experiencing sexual exploitation and victimization. Their umbrella of offerings includes food and shelter, transitional housing, volunteer safe homes, a drop-in homeless center, legal services and counsel, services for navigating healthcare and chemical health services, school-based violence prevention education, holistic counseling, mental health programs, and pandemic services.
