Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods donates 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Emerge Mother's Academy!

Emerge Mother's Academy is a Twin-Cities-based non-profit dedicated to providing support services to single mothers to help them flourish, both as parents and as fully realized human beings.

Providing a comprehensive array of services (think: everything from financial planning courses to constructive parenting classes, career mentoring to a micro-loan grant program for entrepreneurial moms), a connected community, and a safe physical space to just be, Emerge Mother's Academy strives to provide the hardest-working-mamas-in-the-biz with the support they need—not just for their families to survive, but to thrive.

Like everything in this wild time, the obstacles and barriers experienced by single-parent-families have only increased under the various pressure points of the pandemic. Economic uncertainty, concerns for personal and public safety, job loss, serious threats to housing and food security, managing childcare (not to mention distance learning) with children out of school...whew, it's A LOT. It can be hard to ask for help, and Emerge makes it easier to get it. See more @emergemothersacademy.
