11/5/2021 Foundry Giving Friday: Organic Oneness Food Pantry, George Floyd Square

Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Organic Oneness Food Pantry, George Floyd Square!

Organic Oneness is a grassroots, social justice organization that co-creates with communities to mobilize systemic change, healing, and wellness, foregrounding Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). In South Minneapolis, they run a free, volunteer-staffed food pantry at the Baha'i Center, serving families and individuals in the immediate vicinity of the George Floyd Square memorial in collaboration with neighbors who take care of the memorial space.

Jessica, who nominated the food pantry says it best: We feed upwards of 90 families a month, with no qualifying conditions. Any in need of non-perishables or food are able to "shop" from our pantry with dignity.

In this season of abundant celebrations, and always, everyone deserves sustenance and dignity.

If you don't need anything from us, consider contributing directly to Organic Oneness Food Pantry here. If you DO find yourself in need of fresh table linens or kitchen supplies to stock your own abundant celebrations, know that your purchase goes to support good change happening on the community level.

Thank you, Jessica, for the nomination!

If YOU have a worthy cause to nominate for our Foundry Giving Friday initiative, pop on over to our Nomination Page and drop us a line. We're all in this together.
