Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? The People's Laundry MPLS!

The People's Laundry MPLS is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that, in short, does people's laundry, no questions asked. Perhaps you've never thought of "laundry" as an essential human right, but—right up there with food security, safe drinking water, and, broadly, "shelter"—lack of access to laundry services is just one of the major, debilitating trickle-down symptoms of systemic oppression. People deserve to wear clean clothes.

We featured The People's Laundry MPLS  as one of our earliest Giving Fridays... and, as another winter approaches, whelp, people still need clean clothes. @thepeopleslaundrympls is helping fix that, one load at a time.

We are pleased and proud to support this excellent locally-based organization this Foundry Giving Friday! If you don't need anything from us, venmo them directly @thepeopleslaundrympls (and if you have time and a lonely washing machine, you can volunteer to wash + dry, sew a few laundry bags, or pick-up and drop off a few loads yourself—perfect for those of us who love to wash but hate to put away).
