The Foundry Home Goods ethically and responsibly sources globally, ensuring fair pay for craftspeople and employees. We strive for fair pricing across a range of items while maintaining ethical sourcing. We proudly re-use almost all shipping materials, which requires extra time, effort, and expense. When we do purchase supplies, we do so mindfully and are careful about who we do business with. This conscious business model, focused on community investment rather than large profits, is challenging, especially with new import tariffs adding to the already high cost of running the business. We share all of this to help you to understand some of our policies. We can’t provide the same return services and free shipping that many of the large online retailers offer. But we also feel that those practices are promoting overconsumption, waste and a lack of community. When you purchase from a small business with a brick and mortar storefront, you are promoting a local community as well as supporting a worldwide network of artists and craftspeople; 4th generation beekeepers, women’s weaving co-operatives promoting social good, Indigenous artists, fair trade organizations, small employee owned factories, family run operations that support the people and cultures surrounding the products! SHIPPING POLICY
We can ship anything to the lower 48! As of now, we are not able to provide shipping to Canada, Alaska, or Hawaii, in the past we have been able to offer shipping quotes for individual international orders but due to limited staffing, we are not able to coordinate any custom or international shipping requests at this time.
Also: please note that P.O. Boxes may have some delivery restrictions. Small things are a-okay but large boxes may require an additional surcharge. For questions and/or additional specifics about P.O. boxes or shipping to Military APO/FPO addresses, get in touch here: [email protected]!
RETURN POLICY
Online orders can be returned for store credit or exchange within 16 days of receiving your goods. Gifts purchased around the holidays (November/December) have a larger return window; until January 31st. We can only accept returns if the merchandise is in its original condition and packaging. Please note, we don't offer refunds for returned items. Unless the return is due to our error or damage during shipping, we can't credit you for the original, return, or exchange shipping costs.

All shipping charges are final and non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We strongly recommend you pack and seal your items safely and securely, ideally using the original packaging. For your protection, we recommend sending all returns via UPS or FedEx, insured for the full value, and with tracking, as we can't be held responsible for lost or damaged products.
Once we receive your return in good condition, please allow 5–10 business days for us to process it. We'll send you an email as soon as we have finished, which will include your online credit number and instructions on how to use it.
IN-STORE RETURNS
We most certainly accept returns or exchanges on eligible orders in-store—and would love to see you.
SHIPPING RETURNS TO THE SHOP
If you are shipping a return, you are responsible for safely packing and shipping the items back to the shop. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer "free return shipping" (more details on our shipping philosophy above), and The Foundry cannot replace items damaged or lost during the return shipping process. UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES
If there was an error in how the address was entered during the order process or the package is unable to be delivered due to circumstances outside The Foundry's control, our shipping carriers automatically return the parcel to us. Once a parcel has been returned to us, we will get in touch and offer to re-ship if desired. The recipient will have 5 days from the date of returned parcel to decide how they'd like to proceed. If the recipient does not want their parcel re-shipped (or 5 days have passed) we will proceed with a refund, minus a 20% restocking fee. If the recipient wants their parcel re-shipped, we will re-confirm address details, generate a new shipping quote, and send the parcel back on its way. Unfortunately, re-shipments do not qualify for flat-rate shipping.
MISSING PACKAGES
Once delivered, The Foundry is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please be sure to include any special delivery instructions when placing your order. If you suspect your package has been stolen or mis-delivered, we recommend checking with your mail carrier and neighbors.
SHIPPING FEES
Due to the staff time spent preparing orders and the cost of postage—which can both be quite high when large or fragile items are shipped—we are not currently able to offer free shipping across the board. At this time we've crunched the numbers and are able to offer flat rate shipping* throughout the contiguous United States. Because of the numbers, our human-scale operation, and our commitment to treating everyone along our supply chains ethically and with dignity, we are also unable to offer free return shipping. We are deeply appreciative when you choose to purchase from small businesses like ours and are proud to pay our staff for their time and talents during the shipping process. Oops! If you made a mistake on your shipping address please get in touch at [email protected] or even better call or text us at 612.333.8484 so we can correct it before your package ships! If you accidentally made an error when entering the shipping address when ordering then that parcel may be "returned to sender"

Oh no! Is something not-quite-right? Please get in touch at [email protected] and we'll find a solution right away.If you receive an item that is damaged or incorrect, we will send you a replacement. If we can't replace the item, we'll provide a pre-paid shipping label for the return and issue a refund to your credit card.
NATURAL MATERIALS
Small cracks, checks and variation in the grain of your wood or bubbles or flecks of ash in your handblown glass are completely natural and beautiful. With all natural materials, variations in color, sheen, and texture can happen. We favor small productions, recycled materials,individual artist processes, and embracing the way nature works. Our products are made with living finishes; bare material, or coated in natural oils or waxes. Because we don't source products with synthetic protective coatings, these materials will age beautifully and naturally, developing a unique, wonderful patina over time.
