What's your shipping policy?

We can ship anything to the lower 48! We use recycled packaging whenever we can and always keep our carbon footprint in mind. Furniture and other large and/or interestingly shaped items may require a little extra planning if they're cumbersome or made-to-order. Luckily we like to plan!

As of now, we are not able to provide shipping to Canada, Alaska, or Hawaii, in the past we have been able to offer shipping quotes for individual international orders but due to limited staffing during COVID-19, we are not able to coordinate any custom or international shipping requests at this time.

Also: please note that P.O. Boxes may have some delivery restrictions. Small things are a-okay but large boxes may require an additional surcharge. Unfortunately, this isn't up to us, so until Ruby becomes Postmistress General, you'll have to take it up with your local USPS. What is your return policy?


We totally want you to be 100% percent thrilled with your Foundry purchase. If you don't love your goods, we will gladly exchange or refund any items that (in their original condition) within two weeks of purchase. We most certainly accept returns or exchanges on eligible online orders in-store—and would love to see you! If you are shipping a return, you are responsible for safely packing and shipping the items back to the shop. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer "free return shipping" (more details on our shipping philosophy below), and The Foundry cannot replace items damaged or lost during the return shipping process.

Please include a printed copy of your order with your return shipment.

Please note: we are a small team of real humans and returns may take 1-3 days for processing. Once your refund has been processed you will receive notification via email! For order status inquiries get in touch at: [email protected]

We can't accept returns on personal items (like soap, brushes, and towels) once they've been opened or used—we're sure you understand why. Items intended for photo shoots and staging should be rented and are not accepted as returns. Please contact us at info@foundryhg to learn more about prop rentals.

Need to correct your mailing address?


We've been there! We have accidentally spelled Turnip's name wrong when sending her a birthday gift. Oops! If you made a mistake on your shipping address please get in touch at [email protected] so we can correct it before your package ships! If you accidentally made an error when entering the shipping address when ordering then that parcel may be "returned to sender"

What happens if my package gets "returned to sender"?

If there was an error in how the address was entered during the order process or the package is unable to be delivered due to circumstances outside The Foundry's control, our shipping carriers automatically return the parcel to us:

• Once a parcel has been returned to us, we will get in touch and offer to re-ship if desired. The recipient will have 5 days from date of returned parcel to decide how they'd like to proceed.

• If the recipient does not want their parcel re-shipped (or 5 days have passed) we will proceed with a refund, minus a 20% restocking fee.

• If the recipient wants their parcel re-shipped, we will re-confirm address details, generate a new shipping quote, and send the parcel back on its way. Unfortunately, re-shipments do not qualify for flat-rate shipping.

 

Why do you charge for shipping?

Due to the staff time spent preparing orders and the cost of postage—which can both be quite high when large or fragile items are shipped—we are not currently able to offer free shipping across the board. At this time we've crunched the numbers and are able to offer flat rate shipping* throughout the contiguous United Sates. Because of the numbers, our human-scale operation, and our commitment to treating everyone along our supply chains ethically and with dignity, we are also unable to offer free return shipping. We are deeply appreciative when you choose to purchase from small businesses like ours and are proud to pay our staff for their time and talents during the shipping process. Missing Packages

Once delivered, The Foundry is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please be sure to include any special delivery instructions when placing your order. If you suspect your package has been stolen or mis-delivered, we recommend checking with your mail carrier and neighbors.
