Every Friday The Foundry Home Goods contributes 5% of our total sales to a different community-nominated small-and-mighty cause. This Friday's Foundry Giving Friday recipient? Our Justice Minnesota.

Though you can be forgiven for having your attention (perhaps somewhat understandably) refocused on systemic gun violence, climate crisis spirals, and the as-yet-preventable-yet-plodding-towards-inevitability-feeling-end-of-democracy-as-we-know-it in the intervening weeks, lest we forget: it's only been a month since the constitutional right to privacy and bodily autonomy was effectively stripped from over 50% of Americans and has yet to be codified into law.

Our recipient this week is Our Justice Minnesota. Founded in 1967 by a small group of doctors, clergy, and community members to assist Minnesota women in accessing abortion care, Our Justice has always worked to provide people with the resources they need now, while also advocating for policy change that would make these resources more available and remove many of these challenges altogether.

Their Abortion Assistance Fund and Lodging Program is designed to support and assist anyone with an appointment for care with a Minnesota provider or within their service area.
