This is not your average hippie incense. Made from the dark, aromatic, resin-rich heartwood of the native-to-the-orient Aquilaria tree, this deep, heady, woodsy incense is exactly the thing to have on hand for centering meditations, celebratory offerings, and, you know, covering up stinks. Hand-made in collaboration with the Nippon Kodo company (who have been making incense for Japanese emperors since 1575, NBD), this stuff smells incredible. Exotic and luscious, people always ask "what on earth is that heavenly scent?" whenever we've been burning some in the shop. The sticks fit standard diameter incense holders (like our brass cube incense holder) and, if left to burn, each stick lasts for 20 minutes (but the scent lingers in the air for longer). 24 sticks come in a pleasing glass vial with cork stopper which, we think, makes a lovely housewarming or hostess gift.
