MARUYAMA KENZAN Flower Frog - Large - 3 1/2"

Availability: In stock
Meaning "mountain sword" in Japanese, these ingenious brass and steel "kenzans" are used to anchor the stems of flowers, woody branches, and even succulent leaves in place when making arrangements. While these kenzans are specifically designed for the stunning pared-down beauty of ikebana flower arrangements, they are suitable for any arrangement that needs a little architecture (looking at you, lilacs). While one Foundry mother-renowned for her bold use of...extreme branches-swears by using floral putty to anchor the frog in the bottom of the vessel, the weight of the hefty base itself is adequate for most average bouquets. To use: position the base in the bottom of your vessel, stick stems into it, and add water to submerge. Voila. 3 1/2"
