To Use: Unwrap + rinse charcoal pieces thoroughly, making sure to brush off any excess ash. Fill a small pot with tap water and boil the charcoal pieces for 10 minutes to activate. Drain the pot and let the charcoal cool. Fill your desired vessel with water (we keep two half-gallon mason jars in the fridge at all times, but any pitcher will do), drop the charcoal in and after a few hours, the water will be purified. Feels like magic, tastes clean, clear and sweet. Re-boil periodically to release accumulated impurities and re-activate the charcoal.Since these are made from tree branches, sizes and shapes may vary. One 1/4 pound bag contains 3-4 sticks of assorted diameters and lengths.
