Mulberry craftsmen from the island have a centuries-old history going back to making these same types of objects for butter-loving emperors. This sweet, simple tool is naturally hydrophobic and pleasingly smooth to the touch. Its smooth rounded edge makes it ideal for applying butter, nut butters, soft cheeses or anything else that benefits from spreading. The spreading edge itself is the perfect "sharpness"- keen enough for cutting cold butter (if that's how you roll) and smooth enough to spread it on bread without destroying it. 6 3/4" long.
