Designed by Japanese artist + inventor Eiji Ota, this satisfyingly weighty door stop is made from smooth, cool Japanese Aji-ishi granite cut from the 1,000 year old Aji-cho quarries. Bisected by a warm, natural hemp rope knot and weighing in at almost five pounds, this hefty, easily maneuverable piece is inspired by the centuries-old tradition of Japanese pickling stones. Whether you decide to use yours to keep the door open to warm-weather breezes or to keep your kimchi ferment evenly weighted is totally up to you (our advice: give it a good wash with plain soap and water between uses and it can do both). 6" x 3"
