When used wet, alone or with your favorite cleansing oil or soap, the bristles are an ideal combination of soft and pliable—perfectly suited to everyday use. When a little extra horse(hair)power is needed, we like to use as a dry brush—combing up the body in long strokes towards the heart—to more fully exfoliate and release toxins. Lather up.
Note: This brush is such a perfect combination of gentle and workmanlike that our cheesemaking friends down at Twenty Paces swear by this style of brush for cleaning the delicate rinds of their famous washed-rind cheeses.
Take Care: With a bit of easy maintenance, this brush can last for years. Clean the bristles with plain water or the soap of your choosing, shake out excess water, and allow brush to dry with the bristles down. Occasionally oil the wood with your preferred wood conditioner (we swear by Old Mill's All Natural Beeswax and Mineral Oil Wood Polish, available right here at The Foundry), being sure to allow enough time for the wood to absorb the oil before its next use.
